{"id":1212,"date":"2019-10-15T10:00:40","date_gmt":"2019-10-15T08:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.neovita.com\/thoughts\/?p=1212"},"modified":"2019-10-07T05:56:04","modified_gmt":"2019-10-07T03:56:04","slug":"human-centered-product-design-in-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oninteractions.com\/thoughts\/human-centered-product-design-in-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Human-centered product design in 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a commercial environment &#8220;being human-centered&#8221; is a philosophy, a belief that focusing on humans when defining and delivering products will be valuable to the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Design&#8221;\nis also a philosophy, a set of method stances for solving wicked problems such\nas those posed when we want to make it possible for humans to change with the\nhelp of a product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My view is that in the product definition work the role of <em>product designer<\/em> contains the roles of <em>ethnographic researcher<\/em>, <em>concept developer<\/em>, <em>interaction specialist<\/em>, <em>information architect<\/em> and possibly <em>art director<\/em>.
